Secured and Safe - The Fridge Tie Down

16 May 2011

Ever borrowed a fridge for a trip and struggled to secure it? Or perhaps you lent a fridge to a friend and securing it in a bakkie load box or the rear of an SUV was a problem. Well thanks to SecureTechs innovative way of developing products for diverse applications this problem is a thing of the past.

Enter the Fridge Tie Down, made of low elongation high tenacity UV stabilised 25mm polyester webbing. A pack contains two straps to secure a fridge when travelling and includes two easy mount tie down points in case the vehicle is not equipped with any.

A set will secure a large fridge or cooler box and will not interfere with the wiring or the ability to open the unit if required when stopping en-route. In addition when off road,or braking hard, a well secured fridge will not;

  • Move around and damage other luggage or the load area.
  • Damage the fridge itself.
  • Damage or destroy the fridge contents.

Two options exist, one with predrilled brackets that can be attached directly to the fridge once the handle is removed, the other being a looped strap with a ratchet that can be attached to the fridge’s handles. Whichever option you choose, you can be sure that the fridge will be secure and will not move even when going off-road.
